There after are several Carthegenian wars that go on in Sicily, where Alexander the Great rises up to power in Macedonia. In 278 BC, Pyrrhus of Epirus fights the "Sicilian Campaign" against Syracuse supported by Taormina. Later in the 200s, Sicily goes under Roman rule.
