Story of Narcissus Structural Analysis

My story also continued from "The Transformation of Echo"

Proairetic: Narcissus walks through a woods and the nymph Echo follows closely behind him, while Narcissus does not know this. Narcissus suspiciously asks who is there, and Echo replies back to him exactly what he says every time. Narcissus does not regard Echo, and Echo becomes heartbroken, living in caves and cavernous places for the rest of her life, echoing all sounds. Echo prays that Narcissus may love like she did in vain. Narcissus encounters a pool to drink from, and upon looking in the pool he falls in love with his reflection. He remains at the pool of water staring at his reflection for a very long time, neglecting to sleep or eat. By the time he realized that the reflection was his, he was mentally distressed and started to hit himself, and with this he lost his youthful beauty and his attractiveness. Echo found him in his misery and echoed his last words "Ah youth! Beloved in vain." When the nymphs returned to his body to bury it, there was only a flower that grew from the spot.
